Water Pump Maintenance Precautions
, the water pipeline must be perfectly sealed. Check the connections between the water pump and the pipeline for any looseness.
, add bearing lubricating oil to the bearing housing. Observe that the oil level is at the center line of the oil gauge. The lubricating oil should be replaced or replenished in a timely manner. For oil-immersed water pumps, the sealing oil should be changed after 500 hours of operation. The oil in the water pump motor cavity should also be changed once a year.
, close the gate valve on the water pump's outlet pipeline and the outlet pressure gauge and inlet vacuum gauge.
, briefly start the water pump motor to check if the motor rotation is correct. Start the water pump motor. After the pump is running normally, open the outlet pressure gauge. If the pressure is suitable, gradually open the gate valve while checking the water pump motor for any load.
, try to control the water pump's flow rate and head within the specified range to ensure the water pump operates at its highest efficiency point and achieves the maximum energy saving effect.
, during water pump operation, the bearing temperature should not exceed the ambient temperature by 35°C, and the maximum temperature should not exceed 80°C. Eighth, if any abnormal noise is detected from the water pump, stop the pump immediately and check the cause. Before stopping the pump, close the gate valve and pressure gauge first, and then stop the pump motor.
, regularly adjust the packing gland to ensure normal leakage within the packing chamber.
, periodically check the wear of the pump shaft sleeve; replace it promptly if significant wear is observed.
, if the pump is to be shut down for an extended period, disassemble it completely, dry it thoroughly, apply grease to rotating parts and joints, reassemble, and store properly.
, the mechanical seal lubrication should be clean and free of solid particles. The mechanical seal must not be operated under dry running conditions.
, before starting, rotate the pump motor several times to prevent sudden starting from causing damage to the sealing ring.
, do not operate the pump for extended periods under cavitation conditions. Prevent pump corrosion: when the pump is not in use, wipe it clean and store it in a well-ventilated and dry place. If the surface of the electric water pump is damaged and the paint peels off, remove the rust promptly and apply anti-rust paint for protection.
, it is forbidden to operate the water pump under excessive current for extended periods while it is running at full flow. Regularly check for any instances of the water pump motor operating under excessive current.
, the water pump should be supervised by a designated person during operation to prevent accidents.
, the bearings of the water pump should be lubricated every 500 hours of operation. Water pump motors with a power greater than 11KW are equipped with lubrication devices; high-pressure oil can be used to directly inject oil to ensure excellent bearing lubrication.
, after prolonged operation, if the unit's noise and vibration increase due to mechanical wear, it should be stopped for inspection. If necessary, easily worn parts and bearings should be replaced.
, comprehensive maintenance is essential. Generally, a comprehensive maintenance should be performed on the water pump every two years. Repair any worn parts and parts with poor sealing performance that can be repaired; replace those that cannot be repaired. Do not continue using the pump under such conditions to avoid serious consequences.
