Vulnerable parts are the most vulnerable parts of centrifugal water pump. In the process of using, repairing and maintaining, special care should be taken for vulnerable parts. What are the vulnerable parts of a pump? What should we pay attention to?
The pump casing is generally made of cast iron, and the special pump has lining material (as shown in the figure), which is easy to crack under the action of mechanical or thermal stress. When the pump is impacted by cavitation in operation or frozen due to not letting off the water in the pump shell in winter, it is also easy to crack. If the damage is serious and cannot be repaired, the pump shell shall be replaced with a new one.
The pump shaft is generally made of carbon steel, but it is easy to be damaged due to manufacturing quality, use or installation. The pump shaft may have cracks, bending, journal wear, thread damage, etc., and may also have fracture accidents. If the damage is serious and cannot be repaired, replace the shaft with a new one.
Impeller is an important working part of centrifugal water pump, which is made of cast iron. It is also easy to be damaged due to manufacturing quality and use. The impeller may have cracks, which may cause holes or holes on the surface due to cavitation. If the impeller is worn for a long time, it will make the blade thin or eccentric wear, or even be smashed by sundries. Some defects can be repaired; some defects can not be repaired, that is, the impeller should be replaced with a new one.
The bearing bush of sliding bearing is generally made of copper tin alloy, with poor wear resistance. It is one of the most easily worn and burnt vulnerable parts. Generally, the bearing bush can be repaired or replaced with new parts. Generally, the average service life of rolling bearing is 5000 hours, but it is easy to wear or destroy due to improper installation, long service time or poor maintenance. In addition to the individual parts of the rolling bearing can be replaced with new ones, the integral parts shall be replaced generally.
The mouth ring, also known as the leakage reducing or wear reducing ring, is one of the most easily worn parts in the water pump. After wear, it can be repaired or replaced with a new one. When a new leakage reducing ring is replaced, its inner diameter shall be configured according to the outer diameter of the impeller inlet. If the outer diameter of the impeller inlet is worn, turning can be carried out to eliminate groove marks and ellipses, and then a leakage reducing ring with reduced inner diameter can be configured. Generally, the outer diameter of the impeller inlet can be turned three times.
Packing will harden and lose elasticity after long use, which will cause air leakage and water leakage of water pump. Generally, new packing should be replaced.
Water pump oil seal is a rubber product, easy to wear and aging, generally need to replace new parts.
